Mulberry For The Rainy Days
I got this lipstick as a token from a friend. This is my first "dark" lipstick and I'm hooked on trying out "new" colors for my lips.
Since the rainy days are already here, it is best to go with a shade like this one. A partner to the deep and gloomy weather. So when I was asked to pick one, I immediately took this, L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Mulberry (710). "Mauve" & "Plum" color suits this season very well! ;)
At first I was doubtful about the color if it will fit my skin tone. The feel is nice and I like it that it's not shimmery and almost "matte". It does not have an odd smell, and I like the packaging. The "gold" got me interested.

Skin Swatch
Here's the swatch on my hand and on my lips. It has enough moisture thus I cannot say that it is really "matte" . It has its dewy finish that keeps your lips moisturized. As described, it has Vitamin E, Omega 3 and Argan Oil. That itself makes me love this MORE!
Lip Swatch
I have fair to medium skin tone, and this fits me well. It has this mature and professional look. Perfect for office or an elegant evening gala. It has an amazing staying power. Here are my photos after wearing it for 4 hours. NOT BAD! The color is still there.
PROS:
- Price $8.95 or Php 400 is not bad for this kind of quality
- Dewy and moisturizes my lips
- Long lasting
- Does not have odd smell
- Packaging (Gold is Love)
- Does not bleed
- Almost "matte" finish
CONS:
- Not so pigmented on the first application. Needs to be put on a few times before the vibrant pigment goes out. (Maybe it depends on the color)
- Better to use a lip brush than putting it on directly
- The color may not fit ALL skin tones - it has a cool undertone
Will I buy this again? DEFINITELY! I would love to have the other colors as well.
