What I've Read So Far 2014 - Part 2 | Lifestyle: Books

What I've Read So Far 2014
Part 2

So here's part two of books I've read so far. I divided it into two entries, since up-to-date, I have already read 13 books. I don't want to overwhelm you with them.

I have been doing this challenge with GOODREADS on reading 25 books for 2014. Hmmm quite a challenge as compared to my last year's 12 books. I guess I enjoy reading this year as I've reached my 2013 goal in almost 5 months. Not bad... not bad at all.

And here are my current reads so far (a continuation):

8. The First Phone Call From Heaven | Mitch Albom

Since the hype of this book, I made sure to read it. I'm a Mitch Albom fan after I read "Tuesdays With Morrie" and "For One More Day". I like that it talks about hope and heaven. It just got weird at the end when all was just a hoax. Up until that treasured moment... That first call... from HEAVEN. ;) Dragged me in the middle but was given an intense ending.

GREAT READ!

9. Gossip Girl | Cecily Von Ziegesar (Gossip Girl #1)

A read that was long overdue. I enjoyed the series, though the twist and turns may have been too much for me. The book is very different from the series. I saw my friend read this years years years ago... so I got curious. Went on reading it. Upper East Side High school dilemma at their best. Not a recommended read for teenagers but I appreciate the high fashion themed novel. Makes me love to go to New York.

NICE READ.

10. You Know You Love Me | Cecily Von Ziegesar (Gossip Girl #2)

The second book of the Gossip Girl novel series. It's all about getting to college and their consequences.. like losing the love of your life? What are your priorities? Are you ready to dive in to the unknown.

GOOD ENOUGH.
MY RATING: 2/5
GOODREADS Ave. Rating: 3.53
Book Status: OWNED
Read: April 2014

11. The God Catchers: Experiencing the Manifest Presence of God | Tommy Tenney

A read during the Holy week. About catching the presence of God. It's one thing to chase it, it's another to be able to catch it. A very inspiring and reflective read. It's highly recommended for those who are "searching".

MUST READ!
MY RATING: 5/5
GOODREADS Ave. Rating: 4.09
Book Status: OWNED
